The stingless bees are docile and only defend themselves, with little aggressive actions, when disturbed in their nests; however, it still persists in many people the fear associated with their stings. This book, richly illustrated, treats the Meliponini, social indigenous stingless bees. Many of them produce excellent quality honey and are crop pollinators and biodiversity maintainers.
