Presently, Jerson Lima Silva serves as a Professor of Biochemistry at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and president of the Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support in the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ). In 2016, he unveiled a lesser-known side of him by publishing his first poetry book, Quase Poesia (Quasi Poetry). Now, with the release of Ashes of Light, he offers readers a poetic lens through which to view life and human emotions.
